Thanks KCorax for the input, I need to research the subject a bit more myself before I would attempt to comment on the validity of special relativity.
jonassink, Einstein of course isn't the end of the line for physics; he changed things, just like many before him and doubtless many after.
Incidentally, the report they were discussing on TWiT about the speed of light being broken was discredited in the scientific press.
I'm not being dogmatic that it's not possible to break the speed of light, it was just annoying to hear Dvorak dismiss the limit as "not making sense". None of quantum physics "makes sense", it's an area that's extremely counter intuitive.

I find that VLC works excellent on Windows, pretty good on most Linux and really badly on Mac. I really would like a better media player on the Mac. Mplayer is OK too, but not great.
